I know I have been in the recruitment game a long time, but I must say that whilst this last year has been a huge challenge and has pushed me outside of my comfort zone on many occasions, it has also been one of the most enjoyable. Starting another venture from scratch after being part of an established one for so long was a little unreal.
Luckily for KEMIO, we managed to bring on some great expertise and experience in Jade and right from the start she has had such a positive impact. Whilst she is a seasoned recruiter, this was her first time in a start-up and she has thrived and grown in this new environment. Like many start-ups, you must wear a lot of different hats and being stylish Jade had no problem making them all look good on her. She has been adaptable, resilient, and most importantly been able to get shit done.
We also onboarded Charlotte early this year who has been a great addition to the team and has brought a wealth of experience. Her first few days might have been unconventional with me hobbling around in a cast but she took to her new role like a duck to water and has had tremendous success since day one.
Starting from scratch has given us the opportunity to really build the company around our core values and I am excited about where this journey takes us.
So, what have we achieved in our 1st year? Well, it has been extremely busy to say the least. We have:
It’s quite the list and this isn’t even everything!! I’m so very proud of what we have achieved so far and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. Really looking forward to our second year and building on the great achievements of our first 12 months.
We had a fantastic evening celebrating at a Grace and Savour, thanks to David Taylor and the team for making it such a special evening.
Thanks Jade and Charlotte for all your passion dedication and commitment, I feel lucky to have you both on board.
